In the northeastern state of Brazil, forgotten from progress until about ten years ago, it has little demographic density and extensive uninhabited zones, concentrating itself until recently on fishing and cattle ranching as its primary economy.
Not until the 90s did the European tourism industry discover the region and, thanks to the charter flights and connections with Fortaleza and Natal, a flood of investors accelerated the city-planning and residential growth.
